Biotank™
The BioTank™ is specially designed for the storage of all types of biodiesel to minimise clouding or thickening. It has a unique insulating layer between the primary and secondary tanks that minimise temperature change within the primary tank to retain diesel viscosity.For example, in Christchurch, NZ, where the winter temperature fluctuates between -3˚C and 19˚C, Biodiesel in a BioTank™ is expected to experience at least a 15% narrower range of temperature fluctuations compared to Biodiesel in an uninsulated tank.
In extreme conditions a low wattage fuel heating element can be used to supplement the insulation.
True Secondary Containment
Environmental issues have made the secondary containment as important as the primary containment. The BioTank™ is engineered and constructed for maximum protection. No external bunding required. Internal bunding means no costly on-site construction and maintenance of an external bund.
Safety Testing
All BioTank™ tanks are shop fabricated under strict quality controls and audit procedures. Each unit is pressure tested at the factory to ensure proper performance in the field.
All penetrations through the top of the tank are in compliance with industry code of practice.

Five Year Warranty
A five-year warranty is offered, providing the tank is installed and maintained in accordance with the industry standards, including de-watering of the primary tank.
