Petrol Tank Range for generators & buildings
SuperVault™ Petrol Fuel Tanks
For storage of petrol, diesel or chemicals alongside power generators in a building or in a high traffic (people) site, the SuperVault™ 4-hour fire-rated petrol tank is recommended due to fire protective safety. SuperVault™ Petrol Tanks offer the best in fire-rated, bullet-proof, impact-resistant tanks in the world. In many circumstances where diesel or petrol is stored in urban areas or close to buildings, the SuperVault™ is the only permitted tank. SuperVault™ MH (multi-hazard) utilises proven technology to withstand any conditions - from the sub-zero temperatures of the Arctic to blistering heat of the desert. No other storage system provides a higher level of fire protection, insulation and fuel security.
The SuperVault™ Petrol Fuel Tank has a unique advantage over other petrol tanks. Thanks to its superior 4-hour fire rating it can actually be installed within buildings without the need for additional fire protection. It also requires minimum isolation distances from protected and public places. We have recently put them in as back up power units for a new art gallery, a large data storage building, two hospitals and a port.
Multi-Hazard Approved
The SuperVault™ is the only 4-hour fireproof petrol tank to pass the toughest test for above ground petrol tanks, according to the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) (Texas, USA) 95 – 03 multi-hazard test. During this test, despite being subjected to fire, water, projectiles and heavy vehicle impact, the integrity of the SuperVault™ primary tank remained intact. This tank is also popular for solvents which often have the same "flashpoint" as petrol.
This product has been evaluated for re-use after fire or heavy vehicle impact. That means that if the SuperVault™ Petrol Tank experiences a hazard, it may be re-certified rather than being replaced.
True Secondary Containment
No additional bunding is required for the SuperVault™. Engineered and constructed for maximum protection, the SuperVault's™ outer steel tank provides secondary containment as well as protecting the inner tank from the elements of nature and fire. The secondary containment petrol tank conforms to international requirements and is both pressure- and vacuum-testable on site.Multipurpose Insulation
A special proprietary insulation formula provides maximum thermal protection to the internal steel tank. This insulation material minimises heat transfer from the outer to the inner tank, thereby reducing the risk of an environmental disaster or loss of human life in the event of a pool fire.
In hot climates, the insulation minimises fuel losses due to evaporation. It also helps guard against corrosion of both the primary and secondary steel tanks.
The porous nature of the insulating material allows for the effective and economical monitoring of the interstitial space for leakage from the primary tank.
Emergency Venting
For maximum safety the SuperVault™ Petrol Tank is equipped with an UL-rated emergency vent. The emergency vent only controls the pressure in the tank in extreme fire conditions to eliminate explosion.
Standard free-to-air venting controls the pressure changes experienced in normal conditions.
Long-lasting Warranty
A 30-year warranty is offered, providing the petrol tank is installed and maintained in accordance with the industry standards, including de-watering of the primary tank.Styles & Sizes
